TOYOTA FALL
REC CUP

Please read all the information on this page and then register your team at the bottom of the page.

The Toyota Fall Rec Cup provides recreational youth soccer players an opportunity to experience a consistent and high-quality statewide tournament in a fun, festival-like atmosphere. It fosters stimulation and excitement about soccer in an effort to increase the recreational players' interest in and love for the game.

The Toyota Fall Rec Cup is open to Classic III (NSL Division III, ENSA, CYSL and in-house leagues) and lower teams in the U11 - U15 age groups and any division at U9-U10 age Groups. U9 - U10 teams will compete in a festival format with each team playing 3 games with no finals. U11 - U15 teams will play a three game round robin format with finals.

The tournament will be hosted at Tranquility Soccer Complex and Seymour Smith Park in Omaha. We are giving recreational teams an opportunity to participate statewide.

The Toyota Fall Rec Cup is hosted by the Nebraska State Soccer Association.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
DATES:
October 11 - 12, 2008
LOCATIONS:
Tranquility Soccer Complex - Omaha
AGE DIVISIONS:
Boys and Girls: U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15
AWARDS:
U9 - U10 - Festival - No finals and participation awards to all players.
U11 - U15 - Individual awards to 1st and 2nd place.
FORMAT:
U9 - U10 - Three Game Festival Format, U11 - U15 - Round Robin (3 game minimum)
LAWS OF PLAY:
Play will be governed by the FIFA Laws of the Game, except where amended by US Youth Soccer Rules of Play, and/or the Tournament Rules. No off-sides at the U9 & U10 Age Groups.
GAME LENGTH:

  Note! U9 & U10 play will be 5 field players and a goalkeeper.
  U11 & U12 30-minute halves Two 10-minute halves 8v8 4  
  U13 - U15 35-minute halves Two 10-minute halves 11v11 5  
  Overtimes will be golden goal - the first team to score in overtimes wins the game. Overtime and shoot-outs will be used only as necessary in semi-final and final matches. Overtime will not have a half-time.
REFUNDS:
Games shall be considered complete if one-half of the game has been completed and the Tournament Director stops play. Teams will be refunded $20.00 per game not completed for U9 - U10 age groups and $40.00 per game at U11-U15 age groups.
SUBSTITUTION:
Unlimited substitution following US Youth Soccer Guidelines
GUEST & SECONDARY PLAYERS:
Remember, Secondary and Guest players must come from a team playing in the same division or lower and the forms will be checked for compliance. You must have a Guest Player Form showing each player. You are allowed three (3) Guest players. Make sure you follow the recruiting rules by contacting the Primary Coach of the player you are asking to play with you, prior to contacting the player.
ENTRY FEE:
U9 - U10 = $125.00 and U11 - U15 = $195.00
ENTRY DEADLINE:
September 11, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Players must be registered to the team making application. Teams consisting of not more than 12 Players for U9 - U10, 16 players for U11 - U12 and 18 Players U11 - U15 must be registered and in good standing with the Nebraska State Soccer Association. Teams may have up to three (3) guest players. Remember that Guest players must come from a team playing in the same division (ENSA Classic II, CYSL and in-house leagues) or lower and the forms will be checked for compliance. You must have a Guest Player Form showing each player. Make sure you follow the recruiting rules by contacting the Primary Coach of the player you are asking to play with you prior to contacting the player. Please be advised that Nebraska does not permit players to play with hard casts.

Under 9 - Under 15 players and coaches participating must carry a US Youth Soccer player pass. Passes must have a picture, signed and laminated. If the coach uses illegal players, coaches will be suspended or fined or both. All teams are also required to carry written medical releases from parents/guardians in case emergency medical care is necessary. Medical Releases are not required to be notarized, this is a policy of US Youth Soccer and Nebraska State Soccer Association.

REFEREES
We will only use US Soccer Federation Registered Referees and a 3-Referee System will be used on U11 - U15 competition. Referees accompanying teams to the tournament are invited to "call" games during the tournament. REFEREE ABUSE
Referee abuse will not be tolerated during the tournament. Referee abuse by a player, coach or fans will be reported to the Nebraska State Soccer Association within 48 hours of the end of games. The player, coach or fan will be removed from the soccer complex and will not be allowed to return.

TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE
The Tournament Committee will make team selections for brackets. Primary consideration will be given to promoting even levels of competition and geographical diversity. Notice of acceptance will be mailed 20 days before the tournament.

Coaches who coach more than one team need to make sure they have an assistant available at the tournament as we will not be able to accommodate every request for no conflicts. Additionally, it is unreasonable to request no early morning games.

The entry fee will be forfeited if a team withdraws after being notified of its acceptance.

ACCOMMODATIONS (and rental cars if needed)
Accommodations, Transportation and Expenses - Your Entry Fee includes cost for referees, games, field painting and Referee and Game Scheduler. You will be responsible for transportation, lodging, meals and any other costs associated with the tournament. Accommodations list will be mailed with your Acceptance letter, you will be responsible for finding your own rooms.

TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION
Follow the directions on the registration form. To complete the registration process, mail the printed receipt and a check or money order to the address on the receipt.
